Associate Professor (Dr) Dinesh Kumar Hurreeram is the Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Mauritius. The mission of the Faculty is to provide quality education in line with international norms and standards at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, to develop excellence in research, to foster industry/faculty partnerships and to contribute to the development and application of technology for the advancement and welfare of the community at large. Dr Dinesh Kumar Hurreeram has a PhD in manufacturing strategy and has been servicing several modules in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on Business Strategy and Engineering Management. He was recently the training centre manager at the University of Mauritius and has been providing training on Supervisory Management and Total Quality Management to numerous companies

As Dean of Faculty, Associate Professor Hurreeram ensures that the faculty provides its expertise in area like energy, environmental, waste management, climate change, geotechnical engineering, system buildings, quality systems among others to industry, Government and other stakeholders.
